Very good *medium* roast coffee, great price!

I love Fresh Roasted Coffee Company and think their coffees are the best match of quality and value around. This Tanzanian was good, with some subtle milk chocolate and red current notes along with earthy depth while still being pretty light bodied. But I had to give it 4 stars because it was over-roasted to a medium roast. This is my one complaint with their coffees – over the past 6 months or so, their light roast has become a medium roast. Not sure what happened. Also the beans are not as evenly roasted as they used to be… In this case, most were the color of milk chocolate, but some were lightly roasted (a light brown) and a few were dark roasted. This is common in many small roasters, but they used to get it almost perfectly even, somehow.
Still, for the price, you get amazing value. Try their Tanzanian Peaberry – it has some really cool almoat peach black tea notes to it.
